Project Overview
This job involved significant water intrusion impacting a kitchen and the basement area below. Moisture had traveled beneath finished flooring and into underlying materials, requiring careful access and a controlled drying approach to prevent further damage.

Assessment & Moisture Mapping
Our team began with a detailed inspection using professional moisture detection tools. Elevated readings were found across multiple surfaces, including subflooring and structural components, confirming widespread saturation that required immediate mitigation.

Selective Demolition for Access
To reach affected materials, we removed sections of damaged kitchen flooring. Exposing the subfloor allowed us to properly treat the impacted areas and ensure no moisture remained trapped beneath finished surfaces.

Containment Setup
We installed containment barriers to isolate the affected zones from the rest of the home. This helped maintain a controlled environment for drying while preventing moisture and debris from spreading.

Drying System Implementation
High-capacity air movers and dehumidifiers were positioned throughout both levels of the property. Airflow was carefully directed to maximize evaporation, while humidity levels were reduced to accelerate the drying process.

Hidden Moisture Remediation
Additional access points were created in the basement ceiling to address moisture within enclosed cavities. This step was critical in eliminating hidden moisture that could otherwise lead to mold or structural issues.

Ongoing Monitoring
Drying conditions were tracked daily using moisture meters and hygrometers. Adjustments were made as needed to equipment placement and airflow to ensure optimal performance and complete moisture removal.

Project Completion
By combining precise diagnostics, controlled demolition, and strategic drying, the affected areas were successfully restored. The property was left clean, dry, and ready for the next phase of repairs.
